This was my second time to stay at sandoway.

This was my second time to stay at sandoway. The design of the resort is so impressed, bring you back to a natural life. The little wooden house is embraced by greens, every morning the sunshine floods on the bed, the birds singing by the window Nice!

The hair dryer is not working well, maybe too small.

Splendid!

Lovely accomodation which was perfect for a long weekend. Salt water pool and the beach were fantastic. We will definitely be visiting again.

Beach lunch menu was very limited and included too much bread. Would be nice to see salads, calamari, noodles etc for a greater variety.

What was the highlight of Sandoway Resort

So much more than what we see in the photos before booking!

The staff were all friendly and helpful. I went there for my birthday getaway with my mother and first, they upgraded my room then gave a little birthday cake in the evening, that was really nice of them! The amenities were good qualities and everything in the room was detailed beautifully.

The location was good enough with a few minutes walking distances to restaurants but they weren’t very delicious as I thought. The breakfast at the hotel was not buffet (another surprise) but the food were really good except the fried rice I had one morning because it was very oily. Then again, all in all, my stay was super!

The Sandoway commands a superb position, situated on one of...

The Sandoway commands a superb position, situated on one of the best beaches in Ngapali. We stayed in the ocean front villas which had direct access to the beach. Stunning property. The staff are amazing, very genuine, humble and can’t do enough to ensure that the guests are looked after.

What was the highlight of Sandoway Resort

Super resort with an excellent position on a perfect beach.

Perfect! The villas have direct access to the broad beach, which was always clean and free from all the normal annoyances like jet skis and motorbikes — just sand and surf, and the occasional sunbather. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the pool has a mix of salt and chlorine (per the manager) that is so gentle that I swam with my eyes open with no burn (just like the sea). Our villa was big and comfortable, with excellent attention to detail in design and cleaning. (We also toured a bungalow, about which I would say the same thing.)

The bearings on one of the sliding doors to our patio should be cleaned so it runs more smoothly.

Disappointing

The beach, the food and the common parts of the resort

The room was so dark, basic, not renovated for ages and looked like the type of room you would find in a cheap guest house in Asia -which is not at all right for the price that we paid for the room. We stayed in some outstanding hotels in Myanmar over 11 days and this was the most expensive so we were a bit shocked to find it was the worse room we experienced. The service was fine but we experienced difficulties to meet basic needs such as requesting bottles of mineral water. The hotel had an effort to reduce plastic which meant we had one metal bottle which wasn’t sufficient without bottled water for two people in 38/40 degree heat.

Great.

Great breakfast. Beautiful location. Very friendly staff.

More accessible plug sockets in the rooms needed for personal use. Better welcome on arrival, ie a welcome drink or flower garland

What was the highlight of Sandoway Resort

Amazing Sandoway

The timing (late in the evening - who stays up late when at the beach? all the outdoors makes us tired and midday when hot outdoors would be better!) of the movies shown, and the somewhat abysmal selection of movies (comedy and comedy-drama would cater for broader age range & for vacationers than sad stories of rape survivors etc). Movie theatre is a fantastic addition, but under-utilised.

Amazing place to relax in! Totally recommend!

Very comfortable colonial style resort. Very nice swimming pool, staff was so nice that sometimes overwhelming in fact ;) Everything was perfectly managed, restaurant was tasty!

Restaurant was tasty, but a little overpriced in our opinions. Scarce choice of local dishes too.
